Geordie beauty Donna Air has had a fairly successful career to date; five years with top teen soap Byker Grove till the age of sixteen was followed by a brief attempt at pop stardom. Unfortunately, this venture didn't succeed, and for a while she seemed to be sliding into obscurity like so manyt teen actors. Now presenting the 'Select' show on MTV, Donna has a large fan base and success.

Having started the interview, the 19 yr old star was quite frank about her life to date; talking about her brief singing career, she admits that - "I wasn't too good at it to be honest". This honesty seems to make her more approachable, and the interview carries on.

As presenting 'Select' is not 'exactly brain surgery', Donna says that presenting does not make her nervous any more. That is not to say that she doesn't make mistakes though. A major consideration though is to keep her language clean.

Natural instincts sometimes mean slips of the tongue are inevitable, and therefore she must think about what she is going to say before she says it.

Natural instincts also mean that her personal life is also in question. Although she says that she's not 'ten out of ten', she is able, but, as she is 'only 19', so she's, still 'experimenting'.

She is not afraid to approach men she likes either, so those who are shy, this is not a problem. 'It's a laugh when you go out with friends and chat someone up'. Good luck to all you guys out there then.
